EXCELLENT Based on 24 reviews Posted on Tripadvisor mauicarlsonsVerified get yourself a guide in Morocco. Go with Wild Nomad Trails Wild Nomad Trails is amazing! My husband and I are independent travelers, and we initially wanted to road trip Morocco on our own. After some research, we decided to go with a guide this time, and are forever thankful we did. Younes w/ Wild Nomad Trails made our entire trip so easy. We told him what we wanted to visit, he added some recommendations, and he organized everything. Once on the road out of Marrakesh we realized how much of a hassle it would have been on our own. The roads out there aren't exactly easy, there are police check points, and depending on what languages you speak/read, we quickly understood that having a local driver and guide guarantees a degree of smooth passage. Younes added so much to the experience. During our 10 days together we asked him probably a million questions and learned about the local culture and religions, got local insight to the sights we were visiting, had all kinds of discussions about current affairs, which was refreshing as we come from such different places in the world. He had some fun off the beaten path things to show us and introduced us to local residents. My husband got sick at one point, and Younes made quick changes to accommodations so we could move along to the next destination which was cooler in temperature. We met some travelers en route who wished they had just joined a tour, or hired a guide. Morocco is an amazing place, and Wild Nomad Trails can help you explore best and at ease. Having Wild Nomad Trails this time really completed the trip. I recommend without hesitation, and I hope you enjoy the adventure!Posted on Tripadvisor Uçman TVerified An Unforgettable Moroccan Adventure with an Exceptional Guide! If you are planning a trip to Morocco, look no further than Wild Nomad Trails and our incredible guide, Younes. We spent 9 days traveling Casablanca, Fes, Ifran, Merzouga, Ouarzazate, Marrakesh, Rabat, Chefchaouen, the Atlas Mountains, and the magnificent desert dunes, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Younes is not just a tour guide; he quickly became a friend who genuinely wanted to share the true beauty, rich culture, and warmth of his country with us. He is incredibly knowledgeable, deeply respectful, and highly attentive to every little detail. One of the absolute highlights of our trip was the night walk under the milkyway in the desert with his guidance. Throughout the entire journey, Younes made sure we felt safe, comfortable, and completely immersed in authentic Moroccan culture. We cannot recommend Younes and Wild Nomad Trails highly enough to any future traveler. Shukran bzef, Younes, for giving us the memories of a lifetime!Posted on Tripadvisor Yichi CVerified Younes is the best! We did a 4-day trip from Fes to Marrakech with Younes, including two nights in the Sahara, and it was easily one of the most memorable travel experiences I’ve ever had. Morocco is incredible on its own, but Younes made the journey truly special. The long drives never felt tiring—he shared so much about Moroccan and Berber culture, taught us bits of Arabic, and made every part of the trip interesting and enjoyable. He’s knowledgeable, warm, and easygoing, and it felt like traveling with a friend. The route itself was amazing, with constantly changing scenery—from the Middle Atlas Mountains to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the Todra Gorge, Dades Valley, and Ait Benhaddou. The night in the Sahara was unforgettable: camel rides at sunset, a beautiful desert camp, delicious food, music around the campfire, and a sky full of stars. What made the trip truly extraordinary for me was that my husband proposed during our time in the Sahara. Younes quietly helped coordinate everything behind the scenes, making the moment feel magical and seamless. I’ll always be grateful for the care he put into making such an important memory so special. If you’re considering a multi-day trip across Morocco, I highly recommend Younes. His knowledge, flexibility, and kindness made this journey unforgettable.Posted on Tripadvisor Justin NVerified Yallah to the Sahara: An Unforgettable Journey with Younes We took a 4-day tour from Fes to Marrakech with Younes, including two nights in and around the Sahara—and it ended up being one of the most memorable travel experiences we’ve ever had. The Experience Morocco is incredible on its own, but having Younes as our driver and guide elevated everything. Given the long distances between destinations, you spend a lot of time on the road—and that can either feel like transit or like part of the journey. With Younes, it was absolutely the latter. He didn’t just drive—he brought the country to life. Each day we picked up bits of Arabic, learned about Berber culture, and got context on everything from the landscapes to local traditions. He’s incredibly knowledgeable but also laid-back, warm, and naturally personable—you feel like you’re traveling with a friend by day one. He also has great musical taste, and the drives are soundtracked by a mix of Moroccan/Arabic and Western music that somehow always fits the moment. The Journey One of the highlights of this route is how dramatically the scenery changes. We started in Fes and wound through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests, jagged rock formations, and small Berber villages, before descending toward the Sahara. By the time we reached Merzouga, it felt like we had crossed multiple worlds. The desert portion was unforgettable. Riding camels into the dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset and spending the night in a nomad camp was a magical moment—but what surprised us most was the level of comfort. The camp was special, with beautiful tents, a full feast for dinner, and an incredible evening around the campfire with music, singing, and the night sky stretching endlessly above us in total silence. We also loved exploring beyond the dunes—wandering through Rissani, where it seemed like everyone knew Younes and stopped to say hello, visiting Khamlia for traditional Gnaoua music, and seeing a more local, lived-in side of the region. From there, the landscapes kept delivering: the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge, the winding roads through Dades Valley, and finally the cinematic beauty of Ait Benhaddou before crossing the High Atlas into Marrakech. Flexibility & Personal Touch Another thing that stood out was how flexible the experience felt. Younes was never rigid about the itinerary—he consistently gave us options to stop longer, skip places, or explore something unexpected depending on how we were feeling. It made the trip feel personalized rather than like a fixed tour schedule. Above and Beyond What truly set Younes apart, though, was how much he cared about making our trip special on a personal level. I had planned to propose to my partner during the trip, and Younes went above and beyond—quietly and thoughtfully—to help make it happen in the Sahara. He coordinated everything behind the scenes: setting up a private dune with a table, arranging fresh flowers, working with the camp staff, timing everything perfectly for sunset, and even helping capture the moment with photos. It was seamless, discreet, and incredibly meaningful. It’s something we will never forget, and we’re deeply grateful for the role he played in it. Final Thoughts If you’re considering a multi-day trip across Morocco, I can’t recommend Younes enough. He combines deep local knowledge, genuine hospitality, flexibility, and a calm, easygoing presence that makes the entire experience feel effortless. This trip was a highlight of our travels, and Younes was a huge reason why.Posted on Tripadvisor Climber51563368289Verified Service and reception 1000/10 Excellent experience, it is a trip that everyone should live and more next to such human and welcoming people. He has a deep love for Morocco and it’s people and is passionate about sharing that with his guests. The locations were stunning. Younes was knowledgeable, respectful and generous. Our only regret was not booking a longer trip. We would recommend to anyone. One male, two females in our early thirties.Posted on Tripadvisor Irini TVerified An Unforgettable Experience with an Amazing Guide We would like to express our complete satisfaction with our guide and driver. He was truly the best we could have asked for! From the very beginning, he was polite, friendly, and highly professional. His knowledge was impressive, and he shared information in a very engaging and easy-to-understand way, making our experience truly special. He was always willing to answer all our questions and made sure we felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire journey. His passion for his work and his love for the place were evident in every detail. Thanks to him, our experience was unforgettable. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for an outstanding guide and driver! Sukran !!Posted on Tripadvisor William LVerified Younes and our travels in Morocco My wife and I travelled around Morocco with Younes for eight days in June 2023. Starting in Marrakech, then going to a desert camp to ride camels, on to Fez, Chefchaouen, Rabat, Casablanca and back to Marrakech. It was a fantastic trip and Younes went above and beyond to make it one we will never forget. We would highly recommend this company, and Younes in particular, for anyone wanting to get feel for this great country.Posted on Tripadvisor Sarah CVerified Morocco is great but with Younes its the BEST!!! Morocco is terrific but with Younes it was the best!! Visiting Morocco with a friend in the fall. Younes was in contact with us from the moment we landed until he dropped us back at the airport. He was with us every step of the almost 2 week trip. We visited Essaouria, Marrakesh, Fes, Rabat, Casablanca, Chefchaouen. hiking in Dades Gorges, overnight in the desert - not in that order. We covered a lot of ground with his expertise along the way! We stayed in Riad's - booked by Younes in every location and they were all wonderful! He knows Morocco extremely well. He even took us to some out of the way places to really experience the culture and food of this amazing country. Everyone that asks me about the trip - I say - call Younes!! You won't be disappointed!Posted on Tripadvisor Lawrence NVerified An unforgettable time in Morocco We returned from the most incredible 14-day trip to Morocco, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. From the golden dunes of the Sahara to the vibrant chaos of ancient medinas, this country captured my heart with its breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and warm hospitality. What truly elevated the experience from great to life-changing was our incredible local guide, Younes. Younes wasn’t just a guide—he was our cultural ambassador, storyteller, comedian, and friend all in one. A proud local with deep roots in Morocco, he shared fascinating insights into Berber traditions, Islamic history, and everyday life that no guidebook could ever provide. His exceptional humor had us laughing nonstop, even during long drives through the desert or while haggling in the souks. Whether he was cracking jokes about camel “personalities” or explaining the nuances of Moroccan mint tea with dramatic flair, Younes made every moment feel personal and fun. His local knowledge opened doors we never would have found on our own—from hidden viewpoints to authentic family-run spots for the best tagine. Our adventure began in the Sahara Desert, where we trekked across endless orange dunes at sunset, leaving footprints in the sand while two camels patiently waited ahead. The silence, the vastness—it was surreal. That night, we experienced unbelievable stargazing under a blanket of stars, with the Milky Way shining so brightly it felt like we could reach out and touch it. Younes arranged a magical desert camp dinner with traditional music and stories around the fire. Pure magic. From the desert, we wound our way through dramatic mountain passes on twisting roads carved into rugged cliffs—hairpin turns with jaw-dropping views that left us speechless (and a little dizzy!). The Atlas Mountains delivered some of the most scenic drives I’ve ever experienced. We then explored the colorful gems of Morocco’s cities. Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl, was like stepping into a living watercolor painting. Every alley, staircase, and doorway glowed in shades of blue, accented by vibrant flower pots and the scent of fresh bread. It was impossibly photogenic and peaceful. Casablanca impressed us with its grand scale and the stunning Hassan II Mosque, framed perfectly through ornate arches against a brilliant blue sky. The intricate tilework and towering minaret are architectural masterpieces. But the real soul of the trip was in Fes. Standing on a high viewpoint overlooking the sprawling 9th-century medina—the largest in the world—was humbling. The maze of rooftops, minarets, and narrow streets felt like a living time capsule. Younes navigated us expertly through the chaos, sharing stories of its ancient universities and craftsmanship. No trip to Morocco is complete without diving into the food and crafts. We feasted on incredible spreads—tender grilled meats, flavorful vegetable tagines, fresh salads, olives, beets, and mountains of couscous. One dinner started with what our guide jokingly called “just the appetizers,” and we could barely move afterward! Younes knew all the best spots for authentic meals prepared with love. We also visited the historic Chouara Tannery in Fes, the oldest in the world (dating back to the 11th century). Watching the ancient process from above was fascinating (and aromatic in the best/worst way). Later, wandering through artisan alleys where local craftsmen dyed wool in vibrant hanging bundles brought the cultural depth to life. Younes introduced us to real artisans, explaining techniques passed down for generations. Morocco is a feast for the senses—stunning deserts, star-filled nights, blue-washed towns, ancient medinas, and food that will ruin all other cuisine for you. But the true highlight was traveling with Younes. His passion, knowledge, humor, and genuine care made us feel like we were exploring with a lifelong friend rather than a tourist. If you’re planning a trip to Morocco, do yourself a favor and find a way to include him (or someone just like him). He turned an amazing destination into an unforgettable journey.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
