EXCELLENT Based on 12 reviews Posted on Lawrence NVerified An unforgettable time in Morocco We returned from the most incredible 14-day trip to Morocco, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. From the golden dunes of the Sahara to the vibrant chaos of ancient medinas, this country captured my heart with its breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and warm hospitality. What truly elevated the experience from great to life-changing was our incredible local guide, Younes. Younes wasn’t just a guide—he was our cultural ambassador, storyteller, comedian, and friend all in one. A proud local with deep roots in Morocco, he shared fascinating insights into Berber traditions, Islamic history, and everyday life that no guidebook could ever provide. His exceptional humor had us laughing nonstop, even during long drives through the desert or while haggling in the souks. Whether he was cracking jokes about camel “personalities” or explaining the nuances of Moroccan mint tea with dramatic flair, Younes made every moment feel personal and fun. His local knowledge opened doors we never would have found on our own—from hidden viewpoints to authentic family-run spots for the best tagine. Our adventure began in the Sahara Desert, where we trekked across endless orange dunes at sunset, leaving footprints in the sand while two camels patiently waited ahead. The silence, the vastness—it was surreal. That night, we experienced unbelievable stargazing under a blanket of stars, with the Milky Way shining so brightly it felt like we could reach out and touch it. Younes arranged a magical desert camp dinner with traditional music and stories around the fire. Pure magic. From the desert, we wound our way through dramatic mountain passes on twisting roads carved into rugged cliffs—hairpin turns with jaw-dropping views that left us speechless (and a little dizzy!). The Atlas Mountains delivered some of the most scenic drives I’ve ever experienced. We then explored the colorful gems of Morocco’s cities. Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl, was like stepping into a living watercolor painting. Every alley, staircase, and doorway glowed in shades of blue, accented by vibrant flower pots and the scent of fresh bread. It was impossibly photogenic and peaceful. Casablanca impressed us with its grand scale and the stunning Hassan II Mosque, framed perfectly through ornate arches against a brilliant blue sky. The intricate tilework and towering minaret are architectural masterpieces. But the real soul of the trip was in Fes. Standing on a high viewpoint overlooking the sprawling 9th-century medina—the largest in the world—was humbling. The maze of rooftops, minarets, and narrow streets felt like a living time capsule. Younes navigated us expertly through the chaos, sharing stories of its ancient universities and craftsmanship. No trip to Morocco is complete without diving into the food and crafts. We feasted on incredible spreads—tender grilled meats, flavorful vegetable tagines, fresh salads, olives, beets, and mountains of couscous. One dinner started with what our guide jokingly called “just the appetizers,” and we could barely move afterward! Younes knew all the best spots for authentic meals prepared with love. We also visited the historic Chouara Tannery in Fes, the oldest in the world (dating back to the 11th century). Watching the ancient process from above was fascinating (and aromatic in the best/worst way). Later, wandering through artisan alleys where local craftsmen dyed wool in vibrant hanging bundles brought the cultural depth to life. Younes introduced us to real artisans, explaining techniques passed down for generations. Morocco is a feast for the senses—stunning deserts, star-filled nights, blue-washed towns, ancient medinas, and food that will ruin all other cuisine for you. But the true highlight was traveling with Younes. His passion, knowledge, humor, and genuine care made us feel like we were exploring with a lifelong friend rather than a tourist. If you’re planning a trip to Morocco, do yourself a favor and find a way to include him (or someone just like him). He turned an amazing destination into an unforgettable journey.Posted on Jessica DVerified Great adventure Younes took my son and I on a three day trip to the Sahara. We had a great time! I would definitely recommend going on an adventure with him. Safe driver as well and unbelievable hospitality! Jessica & Lewis from Belgium.Posted on Tom BVerified Younes is the best We spent 3 days driving around Morocco with Younes and it was unforgettable. Can’t recommend enough. Beyond knowing all there is to know about the beautiful landscape, people and culture in every corner we visited, he was a genuinely kind person who we were able to connect with as a friend. He was always willing to detour if there was something we wanted to see, or stay somewhere longer or shorter than planned if we asked. The trip was amazing value for money and we will be back in the future for sure!Posted on Voyager752968Verified Best experience ever with Younes!! Younes was my guide and driver for two trips to Morocco Oct 2022 and March 2024. I so highly recommend Younes he is one of the best humans I've ever met. We became friends after the 2nd trip he was protective, timely, experienced, knowledgeable and took great care of me as I was traveling solo. Both trips were 2weeks in length, first covered Marrakesh and The Sahara along with Todra Gorge. 2nd trip I wanted to see the Northern part, Meknes, Volubilis, Chefchauen, Tetouan and Tangier. His driving was superb and took me off the beaten path. I truly love Younes and hope I can go back to Morocco and have him show me more! An outstanding experience!!!!Posted on Ferry VVerified Once in a lifetime experience with Younes What an awesome experience Younes gave us! We spent four days with him and he showed us many interesting places and gave us insight into Moroccan history and culture. He is a good driver and really took good care of us. He drove us over two days and one night from Marrakech to the desert, where we spent a night. From there we went back to Marrakech. On the way we visited all the great landmarks, such as the kasbahs, ksars, oases and canyons. We passed through great landscapes such as the Anti-Atlas and High Atlas. He taught us a lot about Arabic and Amazigh life. Lastly, he has great music taste. Thanks for the great experience, Younes!Posted on Adriana HVerified Amazing 3-day trip with incredible guide Youneso Younes was an amazing guide for our trip from Marrakech to Fez. He had many interesting stories, had great contacts, and took us to extra spots away from the main tourist route. His English was excellent, he was a great driver, and he was always looking out for our safety and comfort.Posted on Basel CVerified Amazing experience with Younes Younes was an amazing driver / guide. He was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. His professionalism was apparent from the moment he showed up to our hostel (30 minutes early just in case). Together we drove through the high atlas and to Ourzazate and Merzouga. Younes was extremely knowledgeable and helpful the entire time (great taste on aux as well). Highly recommendPosted on Exploration777271Verified Amazing trip in Morocco We spent 3 weeks in Morocco starting in Casablanca and ending in Marrakesh. Stops included Rabat, Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fes, Midelt, Merzouga, Erg Chebbi, Dades Gorge, Ait Ben Haddou, Marrakesh and Essouira. We had a vehicle all to ourselves with our Younes. Younes is a self taught English speaking Moroccan who understands Western cultures and knows Islam well. We had many enlightening discussions during our 3 weeks together and he is a great ambassador to his culture and his country. We did many tourist must-do things, but much to our delight, we also did several off the beaten path things. Suffice to say, Younes went way beyond to make sure we had an safe and unforgettable trip, which we did!!!Posted on SteelcityHammerVerified A magical experience. Yallah! We booked this driver through a trusted contact and it was easily the best decision we made on our trip. My family of four had arranged accommodations ahead of time and I assumed I just needed someone to drive me from point A to B. This tour was so much more than that right from the start. I had done a lot of research and planning ahead of time and knew the basics of where we were wanted to go but was in awe of the hospitality we received. Our driver Younes was professional, knowledgeable and very polite. Most importantly he was friendly and my kids loved him. His recommendations were always spot on and I appreciated his honesty in some of the different options I presented and often chose to go with the alternatives he offered. We always felt safe and in good hands, as he genuinely wanted to ensure we were comfortable at all times. We spent four days driving from Marrakech to Fes via the Dades with two magical nights in Merzouga as well as visiting his beautiful hometown of Rissani where we wandered around and were pretty much the only tourists. Younes is very proud of his country and I loved learning about the Amazigh people. This was a beautiful taste of Morocco, and our time with Younes was memorable. My 4 and 9 year old kids are still talking about him to this day. When I think back on my time in Morocco, Younes is the first person that comes to mind and would be the first person I would call if I was thinking about a return trip. I can’t recommend his services enough.Posted on Patric KVerified Experience real Moroccan culture Back in March of -25 i spent about a week travelling by myself in Morocco. I got in contact with Younes and he acted as my driver & guide for several days. Younes introduced me to moroccoan culture & history in a way that was both accessible and personal. He showed me the traditional moroccoan way of life and let me see parts of the culture that I think most tourist never see. I would recommend anyone to enlist the services of him & his company in a heartbeat.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
