Your journey begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. We ascend the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m), stopping for panoramic photos of the rugged peaks and Berber villages.

Our first major stop is the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and fortified village (ksar) famous for its clay architecture and role in Hollywood blockbusters like The Mummy and Alexander the Great. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Door of the Desert," to view the Taourirt Kasbah and local film studios. The drive concludes along the scenic "Road of 1000 Kasbahs," passing the Skoura palm grove and the Rose Valley (Kelaat M'Gouna), before arriving at the Dades Gorges for the night.

After breakfast, travel to the Todra Gorges, a massive fault dividing the High Atlas and Sarhro mountains. Here, 300-meter-high rock walls create a narrow canyon just 30 meters wide—a paradise for climbers and photographers. Enjoy a walk through the gorge and the lush palm groves.

In the afternoon, the landscape transforms as we approach the golden sands of Merzouga. Upon arrival, pack a small overnight bag (your main luggage remains secure at the hotel) and mount your camel. Trek into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a spectacular sunset. The day ends at a desert camp with dinner and a night under the starry African sky.

Wake early to experience the silence of the desert sunrise over the dunes—a once-in-a-lifetime sight. Ride your camel back to the hotel for breakfast and a refreshing shower before departing north.

The route follows the impressive Ziz Valley, home to the second-largest palm oasis in Morocco. After a lunch break in Midelt, the apple capital of Morocco, traverse the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in the Cedar Forest of Azrou to observe the friendly Barbary apes in their natural habitat. Finally, pass through Ifrane, celebrated for its alpine architecture and lion sculpture, before descending into Fes, where your tour concludes.
