How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason. It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For the Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Casablanca

Upon landing at Mohammed V Airport, you will be welcomed by your private driver holding an agency sign. You will be transferred directly to your hotel in the city center to settle in.

Day 02 :

The Atlantic Coast to the Blue City

Begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the largest in Africa, featuring a towering 210-meter minaret. The journey continues north to Rabat, the capital city, to explore the Chellah necropolis, the Oudaya Kasbah, and the marble masterpiece of the Mohammed V Mausoleum. In the afternoon, drive into the Rif Mountains to reach the whitewashed streets of Chefchaouen.

Day 03 :

Chefchaouen to Fes

Spend the morning wandering the picturesque, blue-hued alleyways of Chefchaouen. Discover local weaving studios, leather workshops, and the red-walled Kasbah in Outa el Hammam square. After lunch, depart for Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco.

Day 04 :

Fes Sightseeing & Cultural Immersion

Delve into the history of Morocco’s oldest city with a guided tour. Highlights include the Golden Gates of the Royal Palace, the ancient Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and the Al Qaraouine University, the oldest operating university in the world. Visit the famous tanneries and a tile cooperative to observe traditional craftsmanship before returning to your Riad.

Day 05 :

Crossing the Middle Atlas to the Sahara

Travel south through Ifrane (Morocco’s "Little Switzerland") and the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may spot wild Barbary apes.The route traverses the Ziz Gorge and Valley, offering spectacular views of palm groves. Upon arriving in Merzouga, enjoy a welcome mint tea before embarking on a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes to your desert camp.

Day 06 :

Canyons & Gorges – Merzouga to Dades

Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes before camel trekking back to the village. The journey continues to Rissani to visit the Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum and Erfoud to see a fossilized marble factory. Explore the towering Todra Gorges with a walking tour through the canyon and palm groves. End the day driving through the Dades Valley, admiring the "monkey toes" rock formations.

Day 07 :

Road of 1000 Kasbahs to Marrakech

Travel along the "Way of the Thousand Kasbahs," stopping in Kalaat M'Gouna (Rose Valley) to visit a rose cooperative. Tour the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortress built by the Glaoui chieftain. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2260m), visiting an Argan oil cooperative en route to Marrakech.

Day 08 :

Marrakech Sky & City Tour

Start the day with an unforgettable early morning Hot Air Balloon flight over the Marrakech plains
. Later, join a local guide to explore the "Red City," including the Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia Palace. Conclude the adventure with a stroll through the vibrant souks.

Day 09 :

End of The Tour

At the arranged time, you will be transferred from your accommodation to your next hotel in Marrakech, marking the end of the tour.
